First and foremost infoSparc makes report creation easy. infoSparc has class leading ease of use and we’ve removed all the clutter so you can get right to the data that you need. You can create new reports using a predefined template as a starting point or by using search to easily create reports that match your criteria.Intelligent search
infoSparc allows you to search your corporate database in the same way that you would search the internet.infoSparc's Intelligent Search uses information about your database to navigate across the tables within it, dynamically combining information from different parts of the database.
infoSparc uses your search criteria to create one or more reports that meet your needs. Type your search criteria; choose the report that most closely matches your requirement and you’re done. Of course you can also fine tune each report later.
Integration with databases
infoSparc is designed to work with any database. So whether you have a dedicated Data Warehouse, a real time application (like a sales booking system) or you need to add reporting to a tactical application that you have built, infoSparc will work for you. And to make it easier we’ve built tools into the software that help you get up and running quickly and effectively.Data dictionary
It can be hard to trust the data if you don’t know its origin or if you’re unsure of its meaning.infoSparc solves this problem having great data dictionary features built right in. Field descriptions and data origin information are available throughout the reports, if you see a field in a report and you want to know its definition just click on the info icon. If you want to know a little more about a field you can just key its name into Intelligent Search.
Thesaurus
One of the biggest challenges for reporting systems is arriving at agreement for business terms across the organization.infoSparc has integrated thesaurus functionality which allows you to define multiple terms for the same data item.So whether you call them Clients, Customers or Counterparties, infoSparc resolves them all to the same thing and returns the same data.
Sharing reports
It’s really easy to save your report and share it with colleagues. Reports can be saved privately, be made accessible to a team or be saved publicly for everyone to use. Rights to save publicly or within teams can be configured according to your needs.Annotating and commentary
Sometimes the raw numbers aren’t enough and you need to add some extra description to the data. infoSparc supports the addition of commentary or annotation to your data with full audit of any changes. You can even search on your commentary and use it to filter your reports.Integration with your existing application
infoSparc integrates with your existing apps in two ways:First the GUI is entirely customisable – unlike other vendors solution where you can simply change the logo and maybe the title bar. With infoSparc you can arrange the screens to match your other applications and align with your corporate branding , completely alter the look and feel of all of the controls and customise the content of the reporting home page.
Second infoSparc is web based and uses a well-defined Web Service interface that you can hook into. You can also connet screens from your existing applications into infoSparc – so for example you could put a search box onto your Accounts system which runs an infoSparc search for you, presenting the results and seemless integrated reporting functionality in way that is completely transparent.
